Innotox 100U by Medytox Inc. is a ready-to-use liquid botulinum toxin type A. Each single-use vial contains 100 units of Clostridium botulinum (Hall A-hyper working strain) pre-dissolved in sterile saline. Innotox was the first commercially launched liquid botulinum toxin (2013) and does not require reconstitution — the 100-unit format is the most common pack size for individual aesthetic sessions.

Why this product is different

Innotox is pre-dissolved in sterile saline at the factory — unlike traditional freeze-dried botulinum toxin products which require the clinician to mix sterile saline with lyophilized powder before each injection session. Innotox was launched by Medytox in 2013 as the world’s first commercially available liquid botulinum toxin type A, manufactured using Medytox’s Lyo-liquid technology. Innotox is produced from the same Hall A-hyper Clostridium botulinum working strain as Medytox’s freeze-dried Meditoxin. The differentiation is the manufacturing format (liquid vs lyophilized), not the active ingredient.

Mechanism of action

Botulinum toxin type A is a presynaptic neuromuscular blocker. The active ingredient is the same in liquid and freeze-dried formulations — the difference is manufacturing format, not mechanism of action. Following injection into target muscle, the toxin’s heavy chain binds to specific receptors on motor nerve terminals; the light chain is internalised into the nerve cytoplasm, where it enzymatically cleaves SNAP-25 — a SNARE complex protein required for acetylcholine vesicle fusion at the neuromuscular junction. Without SNAP-25, the motor nerve cannot signal the muscle fibre to contract, and the targeted muscle relaxes. New axon terminals eventually sprout and restore neuromuscular signalling, at which point clinical effect wanes.

Frequently asked questions

What is Innotox 100U?

Innotox 100U is a ready-to-use liquid botulinum toxin type A manufactured by Medytox Inc. Each pre-filled vial contains 100 units of botulinum toxin type A in sterile saline solution. Unlike freeze-dried botulinum toxin products, Innotox does not require reconstitution before injection.

Who manufactures Innotox?

Innotox is manufactured by Medytox Inc. in the Republic of Korea. Innotox was launched by Medytox in 2013 as the first commercially available liquid botulinum toxin type A.

Why is Innotox liquid instead of freeze-dried?

Innotox is pre-dissolved at the factory using Medytox’s Lyo-liquid manufacturing process, so clinicians do not need to reconstitute it with saline before each injection. This is a clinic-workflow distinction — the active ingredient (botulinum toxin type A) is the same as in freeze-dried products from Medytox and other manufacturers.

Does Innotox 100U need reconstitution?

No. Innotox is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid formulation. Open the vial, draw with a sterile syringe, and inject — no reconstitution with saline required.

What is the Hall A-hyper strain?

The Hall A-hyper strain is Medytox’s working strain of Clostridium botulinum, derived from the Hall A reference strain. The same strain is used to produce Medytox’s freeze-dried Meditoxin and liquid Innotox products.

How is Innotox 100U different from Innotox 50U?

Innotox 100U contains 100 units of botulinum toxin type A per vial; Innotox 50U contains 50 units. Both share the same liquid formulation, Hall A-hyper strain, and Lyo-liquid manufacturing process. The choice between formats is a clinic-workflow decision based on per-session volume.

How is Innotox different from Botulax?

Both are Korean botulinum toxin type A products from different manufacturers. Innotox (Medytox) is a ready-to-use liquid formulation. Botulax (Hugel) is freeze-dried lyophilized powder requiring reconstitution before injection. They also use different working strains (Hall A-hyper vs CBFC26).

How is Innotox 100U different from Meditoxin 100U?

Both are manufactured by Medytox using the same Hall A-hyper working strain. Meditoxin 100U is freeze-dried (lyophilized powder) and requires reconstitution. Innotox 100U is a ready-to-use liquid formulation that does not require reconstitution. Choice depends on clinic-workflow preference.

How long does Innotox 100U last?

Onset and duration vary with individual anatomy, muscle mass, metabolism, treatment zone, and dosing strategy. Practitioners can refer to published clinical literature for general expectations specific to their indication.

What are the storage requirements?

Store unopened vials at 2–8 °C, protected from light. Do not freeze. As a liquid formulation, Innotox is supplied ready-to-use. Use within the recommended in-use period after first vial opening per manufacturer instructions.

4 reviews for Innotox® 100 Liquid Botulinum Toxin Type A – 2.5ml

  1. Julian Chen

Professionally speaking, the evolution from powder (like Rentox) to this liquid formula is a huge step for safety. No risk of over-diluting. I’ve used this on my crow’s feet and the spread is very controlled—it stays exactly where you put it. It’s a bit pricier than the budget brands, but the peace of mind is worth the extra few bucks. I’ve attached a comparison chart of my last 3 brands used; Innotox won on onset speed and duration.

  2. Emily Chen

I’ve been tracking the longevity of different K-tox brands, and Innotox 100U consistently outperforms Meditoxin for me. Usually, my tox wears off around month 3, but I’m currently on month 5 with Innotox and still have barely any movement in my glabella lines. One thing to note: 100U is a lot if you’re just doing a small area. If you only need a lip flip or crow’s feet, maybe grab the 50U version instead so it doesn’t go to waste. But for full face or underarm sweating, this 100U size is perfect. Great value compared to local clinics.

  3. Benjamin Clarke

Tried Innotox® 100 after my usual Botox brand went out of stock. Skeptical at first, but the 8-month wrinkle reduction claim? Legit. My forehead stayed smooth way longer than expected. The liquid formula spreads evenly—no weird lumpiness I’ve had with powders. Felt a slight sting during injection, but results outweighed the 2 seconds of discomfort. Storage’s easy too—just tossed it in my clinic fridge.

  4. Jordan Bennett

I’ve used a lot of botulinum toxins in my clinic, but Innotox® 100 is a game-changer. No more reconstitution drama—just grab the vial and go. The 0.05ml dosing precision is legit. I treated a patient for glabellar lines last month, and at her 8-week follow-up, the results were still crisp. The Lyo-liquid™ stability means I don’t panic if the fridge acts up temporarily.
