ReNTOX 100U by Pharma Research Bio is a freeze-dried botulinum toxin type A. Each single-use vial contains 100 units of Clostridium botulinum as lyophilized white powder for reconstitution. Pharma Research Bio is part of the Pharma Research Group, the Korean biopharmaceutical group also known for the Rejuran polynucleotide product family. The 100-unit single-vial format is the most common pack size for individual aesthetic sessions.

Why this product is different

ReNTOX is produced by Pharma Research Bio, a subsidiary of the Pharma Research Group — the Korean biopharmaceutical group whose product portfolio also includes the Rejuran polynucleotide skin-booster family. ReNTOX is the group’s botulinum toxin type A product. Each ReNTOX vial contains 100 units of freeze-dried botulinum toxin type A as a visible white powder cake. Reconstituted with 0.9% sterile saline before injection. ReNTOX is produced from Pharma Research Bio’s proprietary working strain of Clostridium botulinum, maintained in the manufacturer’s production seed bank.

Mechanism of action

Botulinum toxin type A is a presynaptic neuromuscular blocker. Following injection into target muscle, the toxin’s heavy chain binds to specific receptors on motor nerve terminals; the light chain is internalised into the nerve cytoplasm, where it enzymatically cleaves SNAP-25 — a SNARE complex protein required for acetylcholine vesicle fusion at the neuromuscular junction. Without SNAP-25, acetylcholine release into the synaptic cleft is blocked, the motor nerve cannot signal the muscle fibre to contract, and the targeted muscle relaxes. New axon terminals eventually sprout and restore neuromuscular signalling, at which point clinical effect wanes.

Frequently asked questions

What is ReNTOX 100U?

ReNTOX 100U is a Korean botulinum toxin type A manufactured by Pharma Research Bio Co., Ltd. Each single-use vial contains 100 units of lyophilized white powder, reconstituted with 0.9% sterile saline before injection.

Who manufactures ReNTOX?

ReNTOX is manufactured by Pharma Research Bio Co., Ltd., part of the Pharma Research Group in the Republic of Korea. The Pharma Research Group is also known for its Rejuran polynucleotide skin-booster product family.

Is ReNTOX related to Rejuran?

Both are products of the Pharma Research Group, but they are very different categories. Rejuran is a polynucleotide skin-booster product family (DNA-fragment-based regenerative injectables). ReNTOX is a botulinum toxin type A neuromodulator. They are different product lines within the same parent group.

Is ReNTOX freeze-dried or vacuum-dried?

ReNTOX is freeze-dried (lyophilized). After freeze-drying, a visible white powder cake or thin layer remains in the vial. This is distinct from vacuum-dried botulinum toxins which can appear nearly empty in the vial.

What is ReNTOX commonly used for?

Common aesthetic application zones include glabellar lines, forehead lines, lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet), masseter contouring, brow lift refinement, mentalis muscle, and platysma bands. Therapeutic uses include hyperhidrosis. Specific dosing per zone is determined by the treating practitioner.

How is ReNTOX 100U different from ReNTOX 200U?

ReNTOX 100U is the single-vial single-patient pack — the most common format for individual aesthetic sessions. ReNTOX 200U is a higher-unit-count vial suited for multi-patient sessions or larger treatment areas.

How is ReNTOX different from Botulax?

Both are Korean freeze-dried botulinum toxin type A products from different manufacturers. ReNTOX is manufactured by Pharma Research Bio. Botulax is manufactured by Hugel Pharma using the CBFC26 strain. Choice depends on practitioner preference.

How is ReNTOX different from Meditoxin?

Both are Korean freeze-dried botulinum toxin type A products from different manufacturers. ReNTOX is manufactured by Pharma Research Bio. Meditoxin is manufactured by Medytox using the Hall A-hyper strain. Choice depends on practitioner preference.

How long does ReNTOX last?

Onset and duration vary with individual anatomy, muscle mass, metabolism, treatment zone, and dosing strategy. Practitioners can refer to published clinical literature for general expectations.

What are the storage requirements?

Store unopened vials at 2–8 °C, protected from light. Do not freeze. After reconstitution with 0.9% sterile saline, use within 24 hours when stored refrigerated.
